Are you thinking about making a move to North Carolina? Then start packing! You have found the right spot to spend the coming years of your life. From Asheville in the mountains to Kitty Hawk in the Outer Banks to everywhere in between, there is something for everyone and Carolina Insurance Professionals would love to help you with all your insurance needs once you get here. First, read on to learn some of our favorite things about North Carolina.
Southern Traditions – Krispy Kreme, Cheerwine, Barbeque and Craft Beers! North Carolina has an endless list of items that are true Southern Favorites.
Four Seasons – Sometimes Mother Nature tries to surprise us, but typically, most areas in North Carolina have four distinct seasons so there’s something for everyone whether you want a nice warm day on the beach or a cold, snowy day on the slopes.
Education – North Carolina is perfect place to start or continue your education. We boast an incredible University system with 17 institutions, a community college system of 58 schools and exceptional private colleges. You may have heard one of them—Duke University. Plan to decide who you’ll root for with the HUGE rivalry between UNC Tarheels and the Blue Devils. Most North Carolinians have a favorite team in this national rivalry!
Variety of Places to Live – Your hardest decision with this move will be which city or town to officially call home. You really can’t go wrong. If you’re looking for a more mountain, eclectic scene, Asheville or Boone are great choices. If a big city vibe is more what you are looking for then Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh are your top bets. And if beach living is calling your name, you’re in luck. Take a look any where from the Outer Banks down to Wilmington and see which coastal area might be your top choice. The best part of being a North Carolinian is that you can be a short drive from an unforgettable day trip! North Carolina cities, towns and suburbs have something for everyone from singles, young families, and retirees.
Sporting and Entertainment – Your hardest decision will be to try to figure out what to pick first—will you grab tickets to a Charlotte Hornets or Carolina Hurricanes game or head to the Biltmore House or a local museum? A day trip is always a great choice for a weekend or summer day—visit the Asheboro Zoo, explore the Greensboro Science Center or check out the birth place of Pepsi in New Bern. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can go hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway, take a rafting trip on the French Broad or spend the day surfing in the Atlantic.
There is obviously something for everyone in North Carolina and we cannot wait to have you here.
